The 2019 RALCO Electric & Generator Holiday Food Drive will take place on Saturday, November 23
On October 9, RALCO Electric & Generator was presented with the ABC Rhode Island Excellence in Construction award, for our work on a US Coast Guard project in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Great job to all the team members involved in this project.
We are very proud to have recently won our sixth Eagle Award for excellence in construction. The prestigious Eagle Award, presented by the Rhode Island Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, recognizes excellence in project execution, craftmanship, safety, innovative elements and challenges, and client satisfaction. Great job to all the team members involved in this project.
Earlier this month, RALCO was a proud sponsor of the Westport River Watershed Alliance (WRWA) Summer Benefit Concert on July 14th, 2018. In partnership with the Narrows Center for the Arts and Buzzards Bay Brewing, this event became a sold out show.
This year's food drive was an awesome success!
With the help of our friends and families, we donated five pallets of food and contributed more than $3,000 to the Fall River Food Pantry.
We will be hosting another Holiday Food Drive at our office in Westport, MA on Saturday, November 18th from 10am to 3pm.
So come and bring your non-perishable food donations to RALCO to benefit the Greater Fall River Food Pantry. Last year alone, the Greater Fall River food Pantry gave 631,000 pounds of food to 4,000 individuals in 1,000 households.
We are asking for your support in whatever way you can--- whether with food or monetary donations.
On Monday June 19th, we partnered with Consigli Construction to co-sponsor a hole at the “Tee Off with Tedy” golf tournament. Over 150 golfers came out to support the cause. Our donation was one of many that supported the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network’s clinical, educational, and research programs.
One question we're asked all the time is when's the best time to buy a generator?
You might get a different answer depending on who you ask, but it really comes down to where you live. Here in the Northeast, we’re susceptible to hurricanes from June until the end of November.
So around here, early Spring might be your best bet --- perhaps March or April. But one thing is certain: the absolute worst time to buy a generator is shortly before, during, or immediately after a major storm.
